Ministry Moment: Building Kid-Friendly Faith Communities
Sometimes we think we need to “WOW” people with the Gospel. And God does bring some “WOW” moments. He is a “WOW” kind of God.
But, as our guest on the podcast today offers, it’s about finding ways to help kids and families feel safe in the Gospel and ways to live in the Gospel each day, more than it’s about creating those big moments.
Sue Steege, through her work as a Director of Christian Education in discipleship ministry and as a passionate lover of people, has much wisdom and ideas to share for helping kids and families feel safer in engaging with God and His heart in their homes and in their problems.
Kids and families need to know that they have something to contribute in God’s big world, and also in His family.
In this episode of the podcast, Sue passes on her wisdom and what she’s learned from the individuals and families around her. My two favorite tips:
continuously extend invitations to be a part of God’s Word and His Love
&
show up with that love when people are struggling, including our kids.
These things may not look like what you think though.
