The Hope Community: A Finding Hope Reading Group
I am a reader.
Now, I know not everyone is a reader. My husband, Dave, for instance…not a reader. He’ll read for work or a class, but he’s not going to pick up a book for fun. Reading takes a lot of mental energy and effort for him. For me, reading is what feeds me so that I can go give my mental energy and effort to other things. Maybe you’re like one of us, or maybe you’re somewhere in between.
No matter your relationship with reading and books and words, I want you to have a relationship with hope. I want to help you build more hope in your life, understand the anatomy of hope a little bit more, and be a source of hope in the world and your corner of it.
I think hope is clearer when we find it together - when it ceases to be something we are rooting out on our own, when we have others to point it out and to bring it on days it seems conspicuously absent in our own little circle.
For these reasons and more, I’d like to invite you to the Finding Hope Reading Group!
This is a low, key, unintimidating five-week walk through my book, Finding Hope, live with the author.
Joining is easy:
Step One - Buy the book
Step Two - Download the Reading Plan
Step Three - Follow me on Instagram
Step Four - Join in the discussion group on Instagram Live, Mondays at 7 pm EST, January 17 - February 14
Don’t have Instagram or not available during the live group times? You can still read along. Catch the quote and question of the week on our other socials.
You can also catch weekly conversations, working through each chapter of Finding Hope, on the CoffeeHour Podcast through KFUO.org. Find all the conversations as they happen here:
Step Five - Invite a friend to read along or invite a group of coworkers or neighbors or your existing reading/study group. We’ll keep it pretty simple and non-intimidating online. If you want more questions and conversation, look for a full discussion guide in the back of the book.
The Hope Community: One month, a little reading, a lot more Hope.
See you in January!
PS - Throw up your questions or tell us that you’re joining us in the comments. You might encourage someone else just by sending a shout-out today.
