Connection: Hope, Legacy, & Growth

March 16, 2021 by Heidi Goehmann in mental health

We are always growing in understanding our place on this planet, our place in time, and our place in the big grand scheme of things.

We can start with awareness:

Who am I? But also, who am I in connection to the bigger world around me?

Who am I? But also, who am I in connection to those who have come before me and will come after me?

Who am I? But also, who am I in relationship to the great restoration narrative of God and humanity?

Who am I? But also, what is inside and outside of my control?

In this month’s episode of Mental Health Monday on the Heidi Goehmann Writes YouTube Channel, we’re talking specifically about the connections between hope and leaving a legacy, hope, and our time and place on this planet in a bigger picture.

Special guest, Dr. Kim Marxhausen helps us understand how our minds help us to engage and also understand our place in the wider picture of the world. How do all the changes we experience past young adulthood sometimes end up leaving us feeling stagnated and stuck? How do we lean into change and use the changes all around us to grow?
